I think most bishops even in TEC are pretty middle of thei road in their taste in vestments. Even revisionists can figure out that oven-mit and psychodelic cope does not work everywhere. When I was a teenager about the worst you saw was a cope whose orphreys were a tadge tie-dye in style.

My own consecration was choir dress for the consecrands and cope and mitre for the consecrating bishops.

I kept my own episcopal togs fairly low key. My normal miter is linen with a celtic cross on it, and I keep meaning to buy something a little more elaborate for ordinations, etc.. My high church training tends to come out in the fact that I do wear the rochet under the alb on occasion, and I also use the pontifical dalmatic on special occasions - major feasts and ordinations. For choir offices I tend to wear Choir Habit rather than rochet, cope and mitre, which would be considered a little much around here.

In ceremonial details I tend to follow the Alcuin Club rather than anything else. I do not use the zuchetto at all. English custom tends to be against a man's head being covered in church and this extends, to some extent, to clerics. At less solemn liturgical functions episcopal rank is denoted by carrying the crozier rather than by purple zuchetto and biretta. Of course, at solemn functions, the vestents used are practically identical to traditional Roman use, though sandlas and buskins have fallen out of use (about 480 years ago.  I find there are a few other bishops in the Anglican continuum that lean that way, but not many.

Also, having been heavily influenced by the English SSJE and the Dearmer/Alcuin Club, a lot of my parish's ceremonial reflects the northern European tradition shared by the Carmelites, Dominicans and Sarum rather than that of the Curial-Franciscan tradition eventually simplified and enshrined in the Roman Missal of 1571. As it is the Sarum and York Uses rather than that of Rome which lies behind the BCP it seems logical to follow that tradition rather than the so-called Western Use.

I am guessing that the English secular clergy equivelent to the Klobuk would have been the almuce - a longish scarf with a hood that was usually made out of fur. This was indeed worn in quire and put up and down according to the directions given in the Customary. It faded out of use between 1560 and 1610 and has not been successfully revived in its old form. It sometimes appears, shorn of its hood, in the form of a round ended fur scarf - grey for bishops and black for Canons, but I have not seen one in years.
